The estate of Marina Colonna is in the farmlands of Bosco Pontoni in the Italian province of Molise. She presses some of the world's finest olive oil on her family's estate, and also presses some great citrus olive oils as well. Her world-renowned olive oil is made from hand-picked Peranzana olives pressed the same day they were taken from the tree, yielding a pleasing fresh green apple aroma and a lively olive flavor that hints of freshly cut grass, artichokes, almonds, and even some pine nuts. It has a very nice green olive bitterness at the end. Excellent on just about anything, we like to use the it when we make pesto and bruschetta, but its loyal fans use it on salads, soups, seafood, steaks, beans, rice, and almost everything else.
